car wax for newly painted car

hello all

I just got my car repainted (wash over). some bloke in an auto supply shop told me that i shouldn't use carnaube wax (Turtle in particular) because it would cause bubbles to form in the paint. Now he was recommending something else that was quite expensive. I didn't bite though and walked away.
Was there a probability on that crew from the shop said was true or it was just theory for him. I've used turltewax before on the original paint and i have not encountered any issues on it.
